A former Lukiskes prison complex in Vilnius is catching the attention of filmmakers and may attract even more international film and TV projects to Lithuania. The prison complex consists of six buildings which incorporates a prison, a hospital, administration buildings and the Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church and is located in the city centre of Vilnius. The last inmates were moved out of Lukiskes in late June, 2019. The former prison building occupying an area of almost 2 hectares and now open for filmmakers.
